Pharma Industry
Phase Change Materials (PCMs) are transforming the pharmaceutical cold chain by offering precise temperature control for vaccines, biologics, and other temperature-sensitive drugs. Designed to maintain a stable range—typically -10°C to 8°C—PCMs absorb or release latent heat as they shift between solid and liquid states.
Unlike dry ice or gel packs, PCMs provide longer cooling durations, minimize the risk of freezing, and are non-toxic, reusable, and environmentally friendly. These qualities make them ideal for use in thermal packaging systems, especially in remote areas lacking reliable refrigeration.
